CURRENT STATE
You have not heard from me for a while. That is because I’ve been busy taking a Certificate Course from the Art Institute of Colorado called Web Design and Development. What came out of that is that I now do Websites using Dreamweaver and Flash. By the way, visit my website, www.donruththeworks.com. I can also make Flash elements for Websites. Hey, I’m not saying I’m an expert yet, but I can do the work. In fact, I am working on two websites now, one for Colorado Art Restoration and the other for Dr. Nancy Houlder. The sites are up, but portions of them are still under construction.
And can you believe it, but I have been making advertisements for customers for Police K-9 Magazine. This work has been mostly in InDesign, working with pictures and type.
I have done some work for Advantage Business Media, doing a wallchart that is has appeared in CED magazine. I will be doing the CED show daily at The Cable Show in LA in mid May. And speaking of the CED show daily, I created the ads that will appear for GLDS in the daily.
I have been busy, but I would like to be much more busy. Of course I’ve been reading and using "Dreamweaver CS4, the missing manuel" by David Sawyer McFarland, "Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 How Tos, 100 essential techniques" by David Karlins," Adobe Flash CS4 Professional Classroom in a book," the official workbook from Adobe Systems, "ActionScript 3.0 for Adobe Flash CS4 Professional: Classroom in a Book" and "How to Cheat in Adobe Flash CS4" by Chris Georgenes, (OK, I should also let you know that I'm been pouring over the handouts by Kelly McCormack, the instructor at the Art Institute of Colorado) but they don’t count.
