RATES
The Works is a wholly-owned business of Don Ruth specializing in graphic design for print and Web. The Works is named so because Don can do the works for a client: He can work from concept to the final state of a project, or he can do any portion of a job that a client would wish.
Designing editoral content for magazines, graphic content for brochures, fliers, magazines, or creating advertisements, or any other graphics design is $85 per hour or a set fee if the project is large.
Illustrations for editoral content for magazines or in-house projects or other work will be based upon established fees. The fees charged either will be per job and size, or by the hour.
Production work, which is producing ads, magazines, recreating previously designed pieces is $65 per hour.
Web design and site creation is generally a set fee of $1,000 for a site up to 10 pages; $1,500 for a site from 10 to 15 page; $2,000 for a site of 15 to 20 pages; $2,500 for a site of 20 to 25 pages. After the first 10 pages, this can be broken down to $100 per page. After a site is created and live, there will be a $45 per month fee for site maintenance if it requires minor adjustments. If major renovations are required after the site is live, then there will be a $100 per page fee, in addition to the monthly fee.
Logo and icon design and production is $85 per hour, generally.
Art direction on projects where Don Ruth will be supervising a team or an illustrator or a photographer in order to produce a given project, will be $125 per hour or a set fee per project if it is a large project.
